First Drive of 2013

FINALLY, after 5 months of being garaged and one frustrated owner the roads were finally clear enough to roll her out and go for a run. It was a a chilly -2C but the skies where blue, not a cloud in sight and the sun was shinning.

It took several tries as i turned the key to actually start the car. After waiting so long this was almost intolerable but eventually she roared into life and the run was on. I let the temperature rise to 80 to get the oil flowing before gently easing her out  of the garage through some snow on the driveway and then out onto the road.

I carefully drove her down to the main road, it had been a while so i was extra careful. The first part of the trip took me along the twisting road to Hommelvik, a road that runs right beside the ford for a quick trip into the shops. A group of old biddies sitting  outside the local cafe took special interest as i parked. I returned home to find out i had forgotten a couple of items for easter so i apoligised to my wife hopped back in the car and drove to Vikhammer. Another great little drive although the amount of pot hols in the road was quite disturbing, several times i was literally lifted off my seat due to the hard suspension.

Looking forward to a great spring and summer!
